The night club was literally packed with people every Saturday and Sunday nights. This was because THE FOUR TAUS had such a wonderful and loyal following by the brothers of Phi Kappa Tau. If 60 of the brothers would show up with a date, Carries or the Rumpus Room would already have a croud of 120 people. This is one of the reasons why the FOUR TAUS band was always in demand.

Carries stayed open until midnight every Wednesday and Sunday. On Saturday night Carries stayed open until 1:00 A.M. After the night club closed, the band still had to pack all their gear and drive back to SIU. They almost always went to some place and had a very early breakfast. They frequently did not get home until around 3:00 A.M.. It was indeed very hard to get up and make an 8:00 A.M. class.

It is a wonder that any of them ever graduated. But not only did each one graduate, three of them graduated from graduate school obtaining their Masters degrees and two of them obtained their Ph.D. degrees.
