PULASKI - Carolyn (Wallace) Showmaker, 64, died at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at home.
Mrs. Showmaker was born Feb. 17, 1942, in Pulaski, daughter of the late Antone F. Wallace and Ellie (Mayfield) Wallace.
She and her husband were managers of Terrell's IGA in Union City, Tenn., for 15 years, and owned and operated Pulaski Food Mart and Pulaski Video Store for 23 years.
She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alvin R. Showmaker, in Oct. 26, 2005.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles and Glenda Wallace of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Tony Wallace of Florrisant, Mo.; two brothers-in-law, Gary and Marsha Showmaker of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Darrell Showmaker of Cairo; two sisters-in-law, Beth Showmaker of Cairo and Rhonda Sue Showmaker of Mound City; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Terry Kern officiating. Burial will follow.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the services Friday.
